OTN Canada Administration: Glenn Crossin

Daniela Turk
I am acting as the interim OTN Canada network manager, working closely with Sara and Shauna to help coordinate OTN research activities, events, and funding.  I come to this position with a broad familiarity with animal telemetry; my research focuses on the use of telemetry and physiological sampling to test fundamental questions about evolutionary and behavioural ecology, using seabirds and fish as model-systems.  I have a particular interest in the consequences of overlapping life-history events (e.g. migration and reproduction; parental care and moult), and the potential physiological conflicts this can generate leading to trade-offs and carry-over effects.

Affiliations: Simon Fraser UniversityDalhousie University

Areas of Expertise: Evolutionary, physiological, and behavioural ecology of vertebrates, particularly seabirds and fish.
